Bishop William E. McMillan, Jr. is the founder and Senior Pastor of Rehoboth Ministries Church of God in Christ; as well as, the Pastor of Holy Trinity Ministries Church of God in Christ, both located in Baltimore, MD. As a native of Baltimore, Maryland, Bishop McMillan served 30 years in the Maryland State Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Police Force where he retired as Chief of Police.
At the young age of five years old, he heard the Lord calling him to preach and after an arduous journey, Bishop McMillan answered the call to ministry on July 11, 1979. Since then, he has been blessed to travel extensively throughout the country evangelizing and teaching the word of God.
In August 2007, Bishop McMillan experienced a dramatic shift in ministry as his former Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop David W. Spann, Sr., instructed him to begin a work in Western Maryland. He proudly stands as a beacon of hope in the Park Heights Community, Baltimore City, as the founder of Rehoboth Ministries COGIC for over 12 years; where the power of God is manifested week after week.
As a courageous man of vision, he excels in transforming the lives of the community through spiritual and practical development of leaders with a focused mission of launching exhilarating outreach programs, mentoring and conveying sound doctrine of Godly principles. He continues this vision focus to lead others to an abundant life in Christ, engage the community, learn, live and advance the Kingdom of God.
Bishop McMillan is known worldwide as the quintessence of integrity, leadership and altruism with his devotion to the welfare of others. As a recipient of numerous honors and recognitions, he has faithfully served in many capacities in the Greater Maryland First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, which include; Administrative Assistant, District Superintendent, Chairman of Council of Pastors and Elders, Chairman of Men Perfecting Men and Jurisdictional Youth President. In January 2014, he was appointed as the Commissioner of Security, by the Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr. for the Churches of God in Christ. In this capacity, he has developed a strategy to provide a secure environment for all National Church of God in Christ Conventions and special services, along with a strategic plan for Jurisdictions and local churches. Most recently, he was consecrated as a Bishop in the Church of God in Christ in November 2017 during the 110th Holy Convocation.
He remains active in the community as Chaplain of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #37 and is a member of several police associations that promote unity and safety, which is invaluable service to society.
Bishop McMillan is a devoted husband and proud father and grandfather. He shares his life and ministry with his loving wife Evangelist Hope McMillan, their three children Kimberli, Julia, and William, III and five grandchildren, Darnell, Derek, Aria, Darien, and Willow.
